Caring is such an important part of life and the role of unpaid Carers became even more prominent during the Covid-19 pandemic. Unpaid Carers hold families together enabling loved ones to get the most out of life. The West Wales Care Partnership (WWCP) recognises the essential role that unpaid Carers, including those under the age of 18, play in supporting people who could not otherwise manage on a day to day basis without their help and support.
Our regional Carers Strategy – Improving lives for Carers – sets out our vision for how we will work together as statutory and third sector partners, with unpaid Carers in order to drive forward improvements over the next 5 years. As a result of feedback from people with a caring role and third sector organisations who support them, we have set four key priorities. This sets out our aims to support unpaid Carers to achieve the what matters to them socially, economically, educationally and to maintain good health and mental well-being.
